When you live life following your inner voice, many decisions might not make logical sense whatsoever (at least not right away) and often a leap of faith is asked of you. I’ve come to the point in my journey that I cannot knowingly betray this voice inside of me, no matter the discomfort. Sure I might ignore my soul’s nudges to go for a walk and instead choose to continue binge watching the new season of Stranger Things for the whole day (Ahh its sooo good and I’m desperate for Volume 2 already!!) but I cannot and would not go against my intuition for something big like my career.
What’s become very clear to me lately is that I need to completely start fresh for what I do for ‘work’. Not just what, but how I do that. Letting go of tools my mind believes I need like website, social media and really taking a bet on myself. Believing so much in the strength of my energy radiating and having the unshakeable conviction that it will reach the right people whether I have a conversation with a stranger queuing at the coffee shop, through words in an email, or stories I ramble into my phone’s voice note app that I present to you as a podcast.
My career (and all the identities, egoic attachments that came with it) are falling apart in real time as I write this and it is a rollercoaster of equal parts terrifying, exhausting and thrilling at the same time to my dear mind.
